Welcome to the Neighborhood (2005) A Portrait of Homelessness
Shot at four different shelters and on the streets of St. Paul, MN, this documentary on poverty and homelessness serves as a testament of experience. All of the interviews are with folks who are homeless, have been homeless, or work with the homeless. Utilizing B&W stills, B&W 16mm film, and color video, this movie patches together the general picture of why one becomes homeless, and what keeps them in that grave situation.

Uterine Walls (2002)
Inspired by the short story, "The Yellow Wallpaper," by Charlotte Perkins-Gilman, this 16mm film addresses the portrayal of women in modern-day television commercials. Using real audio from televised ads, the movie strings together the type of submissive and stereotypically domesticated imagery a woman sees when flipping through the channels.

Meeting Uncle Mark (2001)
A personal documentary giving me a filmic relationship with the uncle I never knew, "Meeting Uncle Mark" was my chance to document and literally "meet" Mark Rumsey, my paternal uncle who died the year before I was born. Utilizing still photographs, 8mm, and 16mm film combined with voiceover narration, the project lets strangers meet Mark and lets those who loved him remember him.
